Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs (MTCA) and the Ministry of Finance continue the disbursement of the Safety Net Support with Resilience to BeneficiariesThe tourism Safety Net Support to beneficiaries in the Western Urban and Rural Areas continues to grow from strength to strength. As staff of MTCA, National Tourist Board (NTB), representatives from NCRA, ACC, demonstrated coordinated resilience on Sunday 16th August, 2020 at the Radisson BLU Hotel, to continue the disbursement process outside the normal working days. Commenting on the entire payment process, the Hon. Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Dr. Memunatu B. Pratt stated that “We are not only focused on payment but we are technically and professionally organized in terms of staff, logistics and procedures that has earned us significant and orderly success”. The positive response from the public serves as a testimony to the swiftness of the entire process. The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Hon.William I. K. Robbinson, who is supervising the exercise robustly interacts with various Human Resource Managers, Proprietors and staff of different tourism and hospitality establishments to ensure compliance and due diligence. The Permanent Secretary Mrs. Mariatu Browne and Director of Tourism Mohamed Jalloh continue to render their administrative and professional support to the political heads to ensure the effective realization of the exercise while continuing coordinating with the NTB and the Hotels and Tourism Association (HTA) as the team prepares for optimistic encounter in the provinces.
