Sierra Leone has kicked off a strong showing at the World Travel Market (WTM) Africa 2026, positioning itself as a rising destination for eco-tourism, culture, and business travel. The National Tourist Board (NTB) is leading the charge, using the global platform to spotlight the country’s unique offerings and attract international investors and visitors.

The country’s presence underscores a renewed international marketing drive aimed at elevating the “Salone” brand. Through strategic engagement at WTM Africa, Sierra Leone is amplifying its visibility, tapping into global travel networks, and opening new pathways for partnerships that can drive tourism growth and economic impact.

At the three-day event, the delegation is promoting key upcoming experiences, including the One Nation Reggae Festival and the UN Tourism Regional Gastronomy Forum for Africa (3rd Edition), both designed to showcase the nation’s vibrant culture and culinary excellence.
Leading the delegation, NTB General Manager Fatmata Mida Carew will host a Sierra Leone Cultural and Gastronomy Day on April 15, offering visitors an immersive taste of local cuisine and traditions, reinforcing Sierra Leone’s appeal as an authentic and dynamic destination ready for the global stage.
