Kissy Ferry Terminal has emerged victorious in the maiden National Coastal Unity Boat Race 2026, a landmark event organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the GEED Foundation. The thrilling competition, held along the scenic coastline of Freetown, brought together top rowing teams from across the country, showcasing exceptional skill, endurance, and unity on the water. Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis graced the occasion, commending the teams for their sportsmanship and reaffirming government’s commitment to promoting coastal tourism and cultural activities.

Also present was the CEO of the GEED Foundation, who lauded the strong partnership with government in delivering a successful and impactful event. The race, part of activities marking Sierra Leone’s 65th Independence Anniversary, drew large crowds and highlighted the country’s rich maritime heritage and growing sports tourism potential. Kissy Ferry Terminal’s impressive performance secured them the championship title, setting a high benchmark for future editions of the competition.
