The project is among efforts to transform Leicester Peak into a more accessible and appealing destination where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Freetown and its surrounding landscapes. The improved site forms part of a wider vision to upgrade tourism infrastructure, create new visitor experiences and unlock the economic potential of Sierra Leone’s natural and cultural assets.
President Bio’s visit also serves as a strong endorsement of the strides being made by the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, in upgrading and promoting Sierra Leone’s tourism assets.
