The Culture Unification Tour organized by Black Excellence was an initiative to encourage and promote local tourism. Students from different universities and schools were part of the tour which started from Congo Cross to the National Museum.

The Administrative Manager of Monument and Relics Commission, Ann-Marie Kamara used the event to explain to participants the concept of the ongoing Tourism for All Campaign. She emphasized that the campaign embodies all facets of societal involvement and participation. She said the youths have an Integrated role to play in enhancing the growth of domestic tourism, hence it was vital to engage them on the essence of the Tourism for All Campaign.

She also laid emphasis on the relevance of Cultural Unity, Social Cohesion, and Peace as pivotal yardsticks for tourism to thrive, with particular reference to April’s theme of “Gateway to Freedom and Liberation”. She encouraged participants to cascade what they have learnt from the tour and also be brand ambassadors for Sierra Leone’s tourism.
