👉Management of the Ministry met with Hotel Managers and Proprietors. The meeting was geared towards creating synergy between the Ministry and the hoteliers and also to share the vision of the sector going forward. Issues affecting hotel operations and possible solutions were all discussed.

👉The Ministry held discussions with the founder of the Budapest-Bamako Freetown Rally, Andrew Sazbo on hosting the third edition of the rally finish line in Freetown on February 12th and March 4th 2024 respectively.

👉The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Khadija Grace Ahene Kamara has called on African Americans tracing their roots to Sierra Leone through African Ancestry to invest in Sierra Leone and contribute to its development. She made this call during the Civic Education and Business Investment Workshop for diaspora Africans at Country Lodge Hotel in Freetown.

👉In collaboration with Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the Ministry held a press conference informing newsmen and the public on the beginning of the commemoration of the National Animal Week. Underscoring the importance of animals and showcasing the national animal “Chimpanzee “was part of the message to journalists and the public.

👉The CEO of Kings Empire, Valentine King and the organizers of House of Stars Reality TV Show informed the Ministry in a meeting about the start of the maiden edition of the show. They presented the participants and the packages of the would-be winner to the Ministry.

👉The winners of Miss Sierra Leone 2023, Diasy Princess Moijueh Abdulai was presented to the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Tunis. The Minister congratulated and encouraged her to go for more heights.

👉The Ministry held engagement with Betting Companies in Sierra Leone to ascertain winning procedures and what goes to government. Determining the revenue streams and the arrangements in the betting scheme were discussed.

👉The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Tunis officially launched the National Animal Week in collaboration with Tacugama Chimps Sanctuary. The week-long event has variety of activities to raise awareness and recognize Chimpanzees as Sierra Leone’s National Animal
