This unique Northern province village has approximately over 500 people inhabitants. Rogbonko is a Temne word meaning ‘the place in the forest’. Rogbonko was founded by Aminatta Forna’s grandfather, a coffee grower and farmer in the 1920s.
The Village hosts Rogbonko Village Retreat a Cultural & Ecolodge. Known to be the home of the Basket (shuku Blai) & Raffia bags waivers.
