MTCA & MRC hold Maiden Inter-secondary schools Traditional Games

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and the Monument and Relics Commission have held the maiden edition of the Inter-secondary Traditional games. The event which attracted over 70 pupils for ten secondary schools aimed at reviving the culture of playing traditional games amongst school kids.

The activity was part of the broader Ecotourism focus for 2025 aimed at connecting culture, conservation and community as well as engaging people in a fun way, fostering understanding on the essence of ecotourism and its relevance to nation building.

The fun-filled event featured games including, Ludo, Notin, kick seed, six cup, Touch, balance ball, Adie, Intelligent quotient, boatkidi, snake and ladder, card, draft, skipping rope etc. Attractive school prizes were awarded to the winners of each game

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs remain committed to foster connections amongst school kids and also reviving forgotten traditional games.
