Miss Teen Universe Sierra Leone 2025, Lilia Martha, who was recently crowned Miss Teen Universe Africa 2025 at the Grand Finale held in India, was officially presented to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs in a press conference that celebrated her remarkable achievement.
Lilia’s triumph brought immense pride to Sierra Leone as she spoke with confidence, radiated grace, and represented every young African girl with purpose and elegance.
 
 
Permanent Secretary Judith C. Jones congratulated Lilia for her exploits in India, describing her win as a proud moment for Sierra Leone and Africa. She also thanked her mother and team for their tireless support.


Director of Culture, Creativity and Innovation, Foday Jalloh, applauded Lilia’s achievement, noting that the Ministry had been confident she would bring home success. He encouraged parents to continue supporting their children’s creative and cultural dreams.

Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, expressed immense joy, stating that Lilia has brought great honor and visibility to Sierra Leone while reshaping the perception of youth pageantry. The Minister conveyed commendations from President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, and members of the Cabinet, recognizing Lilia’s resilience and maturity.
Minister Tunis also announced that Lilia now stands as a Cultural Ambassador for the Ministry, a symbol of purpose, beauty, and national pride.
In her remarks, Lilia Martha thanked the Ministry, her family, and Sierra Leoneans home and abroad for their love and encouragement. She reflected on her empowering experience in India, where she learned and advocated for causes such as breast cancer awareness and ending early child marriage.
Her success, she said, is a victory for Sierra Leone, for Africa, and for every young girl who dares to dream.
